SSI - Decompression Diving
DECOMPRESSION DIVING: YOUR BRIDGE TO TECHNICAL DIVING
Are you ready to go beyond the limits of conventional recreational diving and explore new depths? The SSI Decompression Diving program is the ultimate stepping stone toward technical diving (Extended Range). This course is designed for divers who want to push past the no-decompression limit in a controlled manner, learning to manage mandatory decompression stops without radically changing their entire equipment configuration.
What will you learn in this elite course?
-
Advanced Planning & Execution: You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression, using a total recreational diving system combined with a single decompression cylinder (stage).
-
Dive Computer Mastery: You will effectively use all advanced dive computer functions, including underwater gas switching, gas integration, time-to-reserve, and time-to-surface (TTS).
-
Instinctive & Safe Planning: The goal is for you to use these computer functions instinctively through practice. This allows you to perform decompression dives safely without needing to spend hours manually planning every detail.
-
In-Water Technical Skills: You will master deploying a delayed surface marker buoy (DSMB) from depth and maintain impeccable buoyancy and trim during mandatory stops while managing a side-slung stage tank.
